Steel cables are not a part of our lifetime guarantee. Wear and eventual failure of this specific component is expected after several years of heavy use. The wires can be purchased and easily replaced by the consumer. Zippers, metal components, elastic, velcro, and sewing is covered under our lifetime guarantee. In rare occurrences, manufacturing defects with the wire may result in a failure. Contact us if this occurs. Replacement will be provided if the failure has occurred in an unusually short period of time after receiving the product.
If you are looking for leg gaiters that can take the extremes of any environment in the world...you have come to the right place. Overbuilt is an understatement. We use a 1000D Cordura Nylon and a 400D pack cloth layering system, which stops water in its tracks (we have done tests...lots of tests). The durability of our materials and construction also prevents the leg gaiter from sliding down your leg. Rubber and Leather for the under boot strap will not last, nor will the buckling systems which tend to fail with heavy use. We utilize a USA Made Stainless Steel underwire with a rubber coating, which helps mitigate any substantial rubbing to the bottom of your boot. The wire starts at the D ring below the snap hook, goes under the boot, through the opposite D ring, back under the boot, and clips into the back snap hook. The leg gaiters feature a #10 YKK zipper and hook and loop Velcro closure, which is located in the back of the leg gaiters. This is to prevent debris and moisture from entering the opening and closure of the gaiter as you walk. Additionally, you have the option to tighten the top portion of the leg gaiters via elastic, hook, and loop. This is to maximize comfort and prevent moisture and debris from entering at the top. A G hook in the front of the leg gaiters can be used to maximize coverage around the laces.

Instructions
Zip and Velcro your leg gaiters and rotate them around, if applicable, until the toe hook (G hook) (A) and the front seam (A) is orientated toward the front of your boot. The stainless steel underwire will be secured to the D ring under the snap hook (B). Guide the wire under your boot and toward the D ring opposite of the snap hook (C). Thread the wire through the D ring (C) and guide the wire back under your boot toward the snap hook (D). Use the snap hook to secure the wire. Note, the wire may seem tight or hard to snap in. This is normal until the materials are broken in. Proceed to adjust the Velcro strap (E) to your preference in order to prevent debris and moisture from entering the top. Keep in mind, there is no left or right gaiter. The snap hook can be worn on the outside or inside leg based on user preference.
