Job Description: T & K Hunting Gear is widely known within the hunting industry for their high standard for quality. The company produces a multitude of products to include binocular harnesses, pouches, rifle cases, duffle bags, beanies, neck gaiters, leg gaiters, and more. Our products are shipped and used by hunters all over the world. We have a small, talented group of sewing machine operators that hold themselves and their fellow employees to the highest standards. A sewing machine operator at T & K Hunting Gear must be punctual and have great work ethic. We are a manufacturer, which means employees must be at work consistently to complete weekly production schedules. Attention to detail and a willingness to learn are extremely important traits at our company. Although sewing experience is not required for this position, we do require new employees to demonstrate consistent sewing and knowledge improvements over a reasonable amount of time during training. Many of our current sewing machine operators had zero sewing experience upon being hired. They have gone from not knowing how to turn a sewing machine on to filling large tubs up with completed product. If you have a willingness to learn and show up to work every day, we will teach you everything you need to know.

Applicant Requirement: The pre-hire requirement is an unpaid job shadow for 2-3 hours. During this time, you will have an opportunity to communicate your questions to current employees, observe daily work, and become familiar with the materials and equipment involved with this position. During this time, a current employee will demonstrate how to operate an industrial sewing machine properly and safely. You will then be required to operate the machine to show a basic understanding of how the the machine functions.
